Atanas Pavlov

Atanas Pavlov has been dancing and competing for over 30 years. He is Bulgarian champion in 10 dance and has competed all over the world. Atanas teaches and competes in American Smooth and Rhythm, International Standard and Latin, and social dances. He is thrilled to bring his expertise and passion for dance to Central Florida.

Jazzy Durgin

Jazzy Durgin has been dancing ballroom for 11 years. She also has performed in acrobatics, tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. She has competed all over the country in particularity in all four ballroom styles Latin, Rhythm, Smooth, and Standard as well as theatre arts. At age 10, she was the open international Latin preteen champion. She has competed in the Best of the Best solo circuit. She has also been the reserve solo champion at the Holiday Classic in Las Vegas in 2012 against 39 people.

Clay Mitchell

Clay Mitchell has been competing in ballroom dancesport for six years. He received a BS from the University of Missouri – Columbia, where he was introduced to the university’s ballroom dance club and soon became president and, later, advisor to the organization. Clay’s experience lies in the American ballroom styles, Smooth and Rhythm, and he has won the World Pro/Am Open Rhythm DanceSport Series at the 2019 St. Louis Star Ball and Heart of America Championships. He is excited to introduce you to the world of dance and reignite your continuing passion for it.

Amanda Buchana

Amanda Buchana began dancing in Texas at the Dancers Workshop training in Ballet and Modern. Her training led her to several summer intensives, including TCU, Ballet Austin, Colorado City Ballet. During High School she attended Idyllwild Arts Academy in Southern California, under the direction of Jean-Marie Martz. She attended Stephens College, where she was able to explore ethnic dancing including Flamenco and African dance. She was also in an improvisational dance group, and a modern dance company The Davidson Dance group. After graduating withe a BFA in dance, she began her ballroom training under the Fred Astaire System. She competed professionally in American Rhythm and American Smooth from 2007-2013. She also competes Nationally in the pro-am division, and enjoys dancing with “the guys”. She is excited to be a part of the Volusia community, and bring an educated, caring, love of Ballroom Dance!
